Like the Caldera Jumper, the skirt is a dual fibre knit that layers fine merino wool on the outside and cotton against the skin. The interplay of two similar but different colours gives depth and life to the the surface; the combination of fibres makes it a seasonless piece.
The skirt is timeless and refined, and perfectly comfortable to wear.
A note on colour: Inkwell consists of black cotton overlaid with dark blue merino wool. The result is an intense blue-black.

About the collection: STRATA (AW25) is inspired by the way rock records its own formation over time, in layers, folds and shapes. Knitting, in a way, does the same: in its shape, texture and structure, it records both time and process as it is made.
In Strata we let the process show: shaping marks, exposed seams, textured surfaces, layered shapes.
Each piece has the quiet strength for years of wear. No fuss, just purpose and beauty.
FIT NOTES FOR CALDERA MERINO-COTTON SKIRT
The is meant to fit neatly, not tightly, yet not oversized. Aim for 8-12cm of ease (the difference between your hip measurement and the hip width in the round above). The elasticated waist ensures flexibility. If you'd like us to adjust your waist size, get in touch.
Note that the skirt can be "shortened" by 5cm by folding over the waist band. It is beautifully finished on the inside, so having the wrong side show is no problem.
FIND YOUR SIZE
Each of our products has its own size chart in which we try to give you all the information you need to make a choice.
Note that the numbers in these charts are the measurements of the garment, not the body.
- Read through the Sizing & Fit notes to see what the intended fit is
- Take the key width measurement on your body (chest in the case of a top, hips in the case of a bottom)
- Add the intended ease and check the size chart to find the nearest match.
- Check the length measurements of the garment against your body to make sure that they work for you.
Alternatively, compare the measurements of the garment with something similar you already own and whose fit you like.
Keep in mind that knits are inherently stretchy, and none of our styles is especially tight fitting. It is often possible to size up or down to get a roomier of closer fit.
If you need help picking a size, please get in touch; we are always glad to assist.
Composition 80% cotton | 20% merino wool
Care The best care for your knits is often less: air it out between wears, and wash only when really needed. It's better for the fibres and the earth. If you feel like your knit needs a refresh, hover a steaming iron over it. The steam will fluff up and settle the fibres, and any slight stretching from wear will be repaired.
When your merino-cotton knit does need cleaning, hand wash it, using luke warm water and a gentle detergent. Do not wring or rub.
Squeeze the water out; to remove more water, squeeze between towels.
Lay flat to dry; reshape while damp.
Store flat.
