Made to order. Please allow 10-12 working days for knitting and 2 for shipping.
Tessera is a reversible cotton vest and skirt set (look here for the skirt and here for the full set at a lower price.
The vest, like the skirt, has been knitted with one colour layered inside the other. It is fully reversible: one side is black with ecru peeking through, and has a pebbly texture. The other side is ecru with black in the background, and smooth.
The black and ecru (undyed) colouring give it poise; burnt orange gives an edge to the composure.
It has a lovely, slightly weighty drape, and can be worn throughout the year: versatile, polished and seasonless.
FIT NOTES FOR THE TESSERA VEST
The vest is neither oversized nor tight fitting; we recommend that you buy your regular size, aiming for ease around the chest of 6-10cm.
FIND YOUR SIZE
Each of our products has its own size chart in which we try to give you all the information you need to make a choice.
Note that the numbers in these charts are the measurements of the garment, not the body.
- Read through the Sizing & Fit notes to see what the intended fit is
- Take the key width measurement on your body (chest in the case of a top, hips in the case of a bottom)
- Add the intended ease and check the size chart to find the nearest match.
- Check the length measurements of the garment against your body to make sure that they work for you.
Alternatively, compare the measurements of the garment with something similar you already own and whose fit you like.
Keep in mind that knits are inherently stretchy, and none of our styles is especially tight fitting. It is often possible to size up or down to get a roomier of closer fit.
If you need help picking a size, please get in touch; we are always glad to assist.
Composition 100% cotton
Care The best care for your knits is often less: air it out between wears, and wash only when really needed. It's better for the fibres and the earth. If you feel like your knit needs a refresh, hover a steaming iron over it. The steam will fluff up and settle the fibres, and any slight stretching from wear will be repaired.
When your cotton knit does need cleaning, machine wash it using a gentle / wool cycle. Put the garment in a laundry bag to prevent abrasion or stretching.
Lay flat to dry; reshape while damp.
Store flat.
