hand spun, eco-dyed merino wool & mohair blend | hand wash
only one available
This jumper was designed & knitted knitted especially for the Karoo Winter Wool Festival in 2023. It was part of a showcase that highlighted the relationship between the landscape and the beautiful fibres it produces: an exceptional farm to fibre to fashion moment.
The off-white yarn is brushed mohair (78% mohair, 13% wool, 9% nylon). The dark rust stripes are 100% merino wool, commercially spun and hand dyed by Colourspun.
The star of the show is 100% merino wool, hand spun and eco-dyed by Botanical Nomad. It is so beautiful that I couldn't bear to cut off the yarn ends, so I secured them and let them dangle...
It fits a size small or medium (measurements below). The sleeves reach to below the elbow: the jumper can be worn on its own or layered over a long-sleeved top.
Width: 50cm | front length 50cm | back length 54cm. Sleeves come to below the elbows.
The shrug is fully reversible and can be worn upside down, inside out, buttoned or not.
Play with it: drape it around yourself, see how it falls. The buttons don't need button holes: they can be carefully eased through any part of the knit.
